Saturdoodle

Hey there ladies and gentlemen,  Today's doodle is a special doodle indeed.  You see, tonight is my very good friend Nesli's birthday party, and she is requiring her guests to dress as a celebrity of their choosing. Now, when I heard this, I knew immediately who I had to be.  So, for your viewing pleasure, here is the doodle of the day:

Btw, party pics to follow ;)

Thursdoodle

I'm starting a doodle-a-day thing, so here's today's!

Stickin' it to the man

Hey errbody!  Just thought i'd take a moment of your time to tell you about how awesome I am.  Just kidding!

...Kind of.

I had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of an incredibly beautiful event.  Standing in front of Weasler Auditorium on the campus of Marquette University, a group of over 100 young men and women held a counter protest in honor of Judy Shepard, the mother of Matthew Shepard who was killed in 1998 for being homosexual.  Judy was giving a speech at Marquette, and the ever-so-lovely Westboro Baptist Church (God hates fags) was going to protest her speech.

Oh my goodness people, you should have read the beastly things they were saying about her,

They called her a FAG PIMP.  I mean, seriously? "fag pimp"?  Honestly, that sounds more funny than anything.  Like one of those 70s gay exploitation films with the platform shoes and the feather boa. I can just hear the narrator:

"Gird your loins, gentleman.  Here comes the FAG PIMP!!"

But i digress.  Needless to say, the counter-protest, led by my good friend Andi Woodward was a HUGE success.  Honestly, I've never seen so much positivity and love emanating from a group of people.  And, fortunately for Judy and unfortunately for more zealous crusaders like myself, the WBC protesters were a no-show.  But, we did what we set out to do, and that was to provide a loving and supportive environment for Judy's speech.  And, we PACKED the auditorium!  Hooray!  Gay justice!!!
